Used Conn Steelay
With no real facing the only way to truly know what this mouthpiece is, is to play it. It is a vintage, hard rubber, alto mouthpiece. It have a long facing with a medium sized tip so it plays well with a wide variety of reeds. I played it with 2, 2.5, and 3 and they all played fairly well. More time with the mouthpiece would be able to narrow it down. It was made by Conn-Steelay and is advertised in the 1935 Conn magazines and the 1956 accessory magazines. Don’t let an interesting, great sounding mouthpiece pass you by!
