Used Gibson TB-3 1926
An absolute one-of-a-kind pre-war relic. This unique banjo was beautifully converted from a tenor archtop to a five-string flathead model. The replacement neck was made to near-identical specifications of the original. Onboard can be found a rosewood fingerboard, gorgeous diamond inlays with the signature “Mastertone” logo at the 21st fret, an intonated bridge, planetary tuners. And a dense construction making for a phenomenal looking and sounding instrument.
This banjo is in fantastic condition for its age with some dings, a number of scratches and some spider finish-cracks, all to be expected in an instrument nearly a century old. The metals and banjo head are in surprisingly great condition. Moulded plastic hardshell case, original neck, original tone-ring, and strap included. Original neck and tone-ring pics included.
